Welcome!

It’s finally time where I’m opening up the floor for beta users! Introducing my new company, Buyside Hub.

We will get you approved within 24 hours, but there is an onboarding process given we need to verify buyside status for non-paying users.

You can access Buysidehub.com via your web browser, but you can also download it to your phone as an app without needing the app store! I’ll provide instructions on how below.

Here’s What Buyside Hub is

We are a Hub for 1) Compensation Data and Culture Information 2) Industry Discussions and 3) A Buyside Job Board. So as a result, we’ve created a comprehensive hub tailored specifically for finance professionals like you—whether you’re on a job hunt, tracking industry insights, want to talk to other finance professionals, or are seeking data to make informed career decisions.

A Look at Our Platform’s Offerings:

Compensation Data: You’ll be able to get accurate and detailed compensation data, especially as it relates to carried interest and deferred compensation.  We’ve historically run very detailed Wall Street Compensation Reports, and our future reports are going to be even stronger now that the platform is launched. We already have thousands of wall street compensation datapoints flowing into the platform. The goal is to have very robust buyside compensation datapoints and to get more into how carried interest and deferred compensation should be comped at.

Culture Data: You’ll be able to learn more about buyside funds. Users will be able to regularly submit anonymous reviews that provide a look into a fund’s culture. We found other platforms to be very lacking or outdated in this information for buyside professionals, so we’re building this out on our end.

Industry Discussions: Access our posting board to get the answers you need from finance professionals. While we have a main feed, we will have different discussion channels such as Private Equity, Credit, Hedge Funds, Investment Banking, Venture Capital, and Stocks. We want to make it possible for folks on “FinTwit” to seamlessly be on here.

Job Boards: Access our Job Board to get a targeted look at finance jobs that are relevant for you. We’re pulling in dozens of finance jobs for you. (This is Free for every user, so at a minimum we can offer you a robust job board).

Recruiting Services: Within our platform, we will also have targeted recruitment for firms looking to hire for targeted roles. As the platform scales, we believe this is going to be a great destination to reach thousands upon thousands of finance professionals. We could use your help with this part.

Who Gets Access To What:

Full platform access is free for everyone on the buyside who contributes compensation and culture information every 12 months. We will need to verify your seat on the buyside on the backend, but when you post data and information your information is 100% anonymous. Anonymity is the number one priority for us, there are areas in the compensation and culture submission survey that 1) create separate submissions not tied to one bulk submission and 2) you can anonymize certain contributions as well if you want to.

If you’re on the buyside you can contribute 2023 compensation data during the introductory stage of this platform. To complete our 2024 Wall Street Compensation Survey and to reset the clock on annual, free access to the platform, we’re asking for you to submit 2024 compensation data once we the results start rolling out during January through early March.

We’ve structured this platform to value buyside users who contribute buyside compensation and culture data. That information is very valuable to the success and education of the community. Therefore, folks not on the buyside yet will need to sign up for a paid plan to access every feature.

However, we’re going to be offering brief trial access for non-buyside professionals: During the first 3-months of this platform, Investment Banking and Sell-Side desk professionals who contribute compensation data will receive free access through the end of March 2025.

Every user gets access to the job board, job alerts, viewing industry discussion posts, and our LBO Model & Returns template. Every buyside or paid user gets full access, which includes full industry discussion posts, compensation data, culture data, and interview reviews.

What I ask of you:

Sign Up: We’re ready for Beta users and we want you onboard! It’s time to sign up for Buyside Hub. More users will be joining you shortly, but I’ll be on there and one of you could be the lucky first poster on our platform!

Recruit With Us: We want to provide firms with a large pool of candidates and think we can do it at a much better scale relative to individualized and fragmented recruiters. How to Download the Buyside Hub App:

1) Access the website link in the browser and click the share button (I highlighted)

2) Click the Add to Home Screen Button

3) Click “Add” and boom! You now have the Buyside Hub App!
